Bute Holiday Cottage on The West Coast of Scotland 4*++ Self Catering Bute

This is a family home built on half an acre of land with uninterrupted views over the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast, The Cumbrae Isles and Kilchattan Bay. The views from the cottage are breathtaking, and the peace & tranquility  have to be experienced to be believed. Stroll along the front late at night and enjoy the night sky & the moon on the water, whilst listening to the seabirds & the clink of cleats on masts of Yachts moored in front of Dykenamar.The house occupies a prime site at the waterfront & is warm, welcoming, well equipped, & very comfortable. Since welcoming our first Guests, they have been returning to Dykenamar in the sure knowledge that they can rely on the high standards which we achieve. Our "in house" Visitors book reflects holidays much enjoyed with Guests returning year after year. This is a real "home from home", a much  loved home for our family and Guests alike.

Set in glorious surroundings, Kilchattan Bay is on the South East tip of Bute, and is very peaceful as the road serves only  the village. The Southern leg of the 25 mile West Island Way starts within only a few minutes walk from the house. 

There is just one  small request we make of our Guests:- Please feed our birds with the food provided in house. Our birds have been fed since 1977 so they have come to expect their meals! They in there many varieties,  then give us the joy of their close proximity.
