Our cottage has 3 Double bedrooms (3 Double Beds + 1 Occasional Bed) - Maximum 7 Persons, depending on grouping. The comfortable large lounge has panoramic views over the Clyde and the large kitchen with integral dining area is a bright, well equipped family dining area. The cottage is ideal for families, the elderly, romantic getaways, special occasions and those just needing a complete rest.

The bathroom includes WC & bath with electric overhead shower over the bath. There is also a separate cloakroom & WC. Dykenamar is superbly equipped throughout. Details are shown below.

  • Rooms: Living Room, dining room, kitchen, 3 double bedrooms, (3 Double Beds + 1 Occasional Bed), cloakroom with WC. Porch which on special occasions we use as a little bedroom for a child, allowing us to accommodate 8 Guests, providing the grouping is suitable.
  • Kitchen: Cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, grill, microwave, oven, toaster, slow cooker, food processor, vegetable steamer in addition to all usual utensils.
  • Laundry: Washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board / iron. Washing up liquid, washing powder, dishwasher tabs are all provided.
  • Bathroom: Bath with electric shower over bath, wash hand basin, WC and electric wall heater
  • Heating: Heating throughout bungalow
  • Entertainment:
    • Lounge - Large TV, satellite Freeview, VHS / DVD player, Radio with CD player. Book library, board games, jigsaw puzzles & fold-up puzzle mat.
    • Kitchen/Dining - Flat screen TV with DVD, Radio with CD music player. Selection of DVDs, VCRs & CDs to suite all ages.
  • Communications: Broadband internet, phone and Wi-Fi
  • Outside Area: Outside seating, patio / outside dining area, private spacious garden, private parking.
  • General: All house windows are high quality modern double glazed, corridor handrails are in situe for those in need of a little help.


From the cottage, to the left there is the extensive beach of Kilchattan Bay, which is a joy at all times of year. To the right the unspoilt scenery and views on the West Island Way leading to Garroch Head Lighthouse, Glen Callum Bay & St Blane's Church, which is a walk not to be missed. Wild flowers are in abundance on this and most walks on the Island.

Through the woods you will discover ancient Standing Stones. St Blane's Church in its atmospheric & breath-taking surroundings is the beautiful & very special ruins which can also be reached by road and then a short walk. Explore the beautiful beaches and Island walks, or simply just relax in the cottage or our garden, unwind & soak up the views.
